LPG sales
Since its inception, Petrolinvest has focused on fuel trade, mainly relating to LPG from 2005 on. The Company offers the following LPG products: - bulk LPG supplied in rail and truck tanks;
- bulk LPG collected at terminals and LPG distribution plants;
- LPG in siphon bottles for utility and industrial use, delivered to wholesalers;
- LPG in siphon bottles for utility and industrial use, delivered to retail customers (to an insignificant extent).
LPG sold is a natural product, obtained from oil and gas deposits at the time of their extraction. The Company also sells small quantities of LPG obtained in the course of crude oil refinement. Mažeikiu Nafta is the major supplier of this type of gas. Gas offered by the Company is chemically pure and meets the relevant environmental protection requirements. Slightly harmful substances and malodorous contaminants or toxic substances (e.g. hydrogen sulphide, ammonia) are present only in insignificant amounts. LPG sold meets the standards relating to its various uses. The Company sells the following mixes: - bottled gas: a mix of 30% of propane and 70% of butane;
- heating gas: pure propane;
- automobile gas: a mix of 50% of propane and 50% of butane.
LPG sales have been the core business activity of the Company. They account for nearly 100% of the Company's sales revenue. Given that the market for LPG is forecast to grow in Poland, to a large extent thanks to the rapid growth of the automobile gas segment, the Company intends to further develop its LPG trading activities. To that end, the Company has taken measures to expand its warehousing facilities (through investment in the LPG Sea Terminal). In the near future, we intend to develop our own automobile gas station network.
Installation and construction services
Petrolinvest has well-qualified technical and installation personnel, having relevant qualifications, and holding operation and oversight approvals for the construction, installation and operation of gas systems and containers of up to 200 m3. The Company provides on-going maintenance services to more than 100 automobile gas stations (e.g. on the basis of an agreement for the maintenance of Statoil stations in northern Poland) and 150 LPG container installations.
