The Management Board of PETROLINVEST S.A. (hereinafter the "Company") is pleased to announce that on September 22, 2007 it was informed of the first inflow of crude oil from a 5-metre thick horizon during the sampling of the G-4D well by EmbaYugNeft in the Zhubantam licensed site. The estimated registered output of that horizon is 40 bbl per day.

The above result, in addition to the physical extraction of first crude oil from the Zhubantam field, also confirms the interpretation of geophysical measurements executed in the G-4D well after the completion of drilling work that indicated the presence of oil in subsequent three horizons.
Over the next two weeks, sampling of subsequent horizons of the combined thickness of 29 metres is planned in the G-4D well. According to the interpretation of geophysical measurements, those horizons were described as oil-bearing.

Following the completion of sampling of all the horizons, EmbaYugNeft is planning to commence production tests that will last for about one month. The company will announce the final results of sampling of all the horizons in the G-4D well in the form of a current report.
