Signing of Annex to the Agreement for the Exploration and Extraction of Hydrocarbons by the EmbaYugNeft Company

The Management Board of Petrolinvest S.A. (hereinafter: "the Company") hereby announces that on 30 November 2007 it has received information on the signing on 29 November 2007 by EmbaYugNeft, in which the Company holds a 50% stake, with the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Annex No. 1 to the Agreement for the Exploration and Production of crude oil. The Annex extends the agreed exploration period to 29 June 2009 and obligates EmbaYugNeft to increase expenditures on geological and exploration works in the amount of USD 39 975 000 during the extension period.
